Welcome to Greenlake Counseling!
My name is Benjamin Deu and I am passionate about helping to bring
about healing and reconciliation in peoples’ lives. With over
5,000 hours of post graduate experience as a professional christian
counselor and 3,000 hours of experience supporting others within
the life coaching arena, I have been continually amazed at the potential
for healing within a therapeutic environment.
The counseling experience is an opportunity
to heal painful wounds, improve communication, discover why you
face the same challenges over and over, and open yourself to new
and better experiences and healthier relationships. No matter what
the presenting concern: be it a relationship that you are working
to mend or you are struggling to get over a breakup; feelings of
loneliness, anxiety, depression, controlling your anger, loss or
you find yourself engaging in sexual struggles, self harm or a major
life transition, counseling can be an intensely rewarding and life-transforming
process.
The key to a successful therapeutic
relationship is rapport. I enjoy working collaboratively with my
clients by exploring internal and relational conflicts along with
developing greater insight into behavior patterns. Through our work
together, clients are often able to move beyond painful and disappointing
experiences. Many work through difficult and confusing feelings
about themselves and others.
I work from a relational perspective.
Briefly this means we think together about what is going on within
your heart and soul and explore how these inner thoughts and feelings
play a part in the moment-by-moment choices you are making. Together
we explore how key relationships (including ours) shape one’s
attitudes and experience. Your well being and wholeness will be
my central focus.
I warmly invite you into a therapeutic

range of scheduling options including day and evening appointments.
